The original IGST was established in December 2002 and officially launched in January 2003, whilst the newly-formed IGST2 was launched only very recently, on 5th January 2011, exactly eight years after we teed up for the very first game of the IGST. Over recent years, the membership of the society in Taiwan has ranged between 70 and 100 “active” members, whilst the Thailand society welcomed around 50 players during its “warm-up” events between October and December 2010; since then, we have·signed up a total of 102 full members for our inaugural 2011 season, with many more expected to join us as we embark on our second season.
