The spacious Phoenix Golf and Country Club’s clubhouse with its sunshine-colored, tiled roof has become famous as an inviting landmark for both local and international golfers. It can be readily seen just a short distance inland from Thailand’s eastern seaboard 25 minutes south of Pattaya in Baan Umpur area. Denis Griffiths, a world renowned golf course designer, planned the total 27 holes in 1993. Extending over 1,000 rai, it’s three courses are nestled on rolling fairways that are often lined with a large variety of young and mature trees, shrubbery, lakes, ponds, and of course bunkers to add spice and challenge to all golfers’ skills.
